The case for Moyes to be the next WHUFC manager
David Moyes is the best candidate for the next era in West Ham United Football Club history.

If Allardyce had a shout for a new WHU manager contract he's blown it from Xmas to April - with 12 points from a possible 45 (P 15, W 2, D 6, L 7, F 13, A 21, D -8 P 12). Plus poor football and bad team selections built around accommodating Kevin Nolan who wouldn't be picked for any other Premiership team let alone be their Captain..

Allardyce's WHU era is over now and by season's end will be stone cold dead with more games lost than won and another double digit minus in goals...Stoke, Palace and Everton pushing us down to 12th

David Moyes

(PEDIGREE) Alex Ferguson knew talent - his opinion on Moyes was not built on emotion. Moyes with Everton always gave Man Utd a hard game, invariably Everton beat WHU home or away and always faced up to Liverpool. Under Moyes Goodison Park was always a tough place for any team to play Everton. Moyes two main signings to Man U, Mata and Fellaini have pulled the team together since Xmas.

(EXPERIENCE) 12 years Premiership management experience with many Top 8 finishes including 245 victories in all comps and a combined 47.43% win rate from Everton & Man U.

(ACADEMY) He brought through young English players at Everton inc Barkley, Rodwell, Rooney etc

(FUTURE) Moyes is the man, if he wants the gig, to push on from Allardyce's era. He'll guarantee a strong last season at Upton Park, stabilize the team and build a squad for regular European football at the Olympic Stadium even starting those nights in season 2016/2017

(FIRST SIGNING) Romelu Lukaku - who is still only 21 years old.

Would take Moyes. Improvement on what we have.
Still like us to go in a slightly different direction.

I just can’t see Moyes at West Ham, he’s a decent enough manager but……………...

A dour Scotsman for starters.

I'd stop going if we got Moyes.

Wing play & headers.

"gets in i-Ron face"

Whats wrong with wing play & headers?

Re: The case for Moyes to be the next WHUFC manager
Nothing wrong with it. There's a place in the game for it.

Just not a place in my bank account for it should we appoint Moyes.

I think what makes me laugh most about this Moyes thing, other than the almost identical shit football he mostly played, and almost every time at Upton Park....is that everyone bangs on about Fat Sam having never won anything...which is identical to Moyes as well.

What manager would you want then? and would be happy to pay to watch?

Would Moyes really be a big improvement on BFS in terms of management style, results, style of play etc?

I can see us getting pretty frustrated with him also.

Just been seen in Ken's Cafe with a load of salt and pepper pots... Nolan was played by one of those red squashy tom' sauce squeezy things

Re: The case for Moyes to be the next WHUFC manager
Marcelo Bielsa
Luciano Spalletti
Slavan Bilic
Unai Emery
Walter Mazzarri

Or if you really had to go BRITISH, fuck it Eddie Howe. At least he'd do a Pards and sign young players and might help the club ease debt.

Interesting paragraph in a guardian article yesterday:

Rafa Benítez, also out of contract at Napoli where he has just rejected a three-year extension, was reportedly spotted at the club’s training ground last week, along with former Everton and Manchester United (and current part-time Derby County) coach Steve Round, and the Spaniard now looks certain to land the job.

Look at Ronnie go pretending he knows foreign managers (sorry COACHES) name... get the fuck out of here....

Re: The case for Moyes to be the next WHUFC manager
Fuck me if I were to seduce a top coach to West Ham, I'd leave the training ground out until he's signed.

As if that's going to impress anybody?

It's all pie in the sky... the fat man is going to be here for at least ONE more season...

WHUDeano,

The guardian must be spouting bullshit.

I can't believe the club would meet Benitez at the ground to discuss the position. Surely they would be slightly less obvious that that?

Re: The case for Moyes to be the next WHUFC manager
Sold, considering you were one of the self appointed original football hipsters in the 80's and having watched Diego10's single handedly win every game and trophy on his own, in Spain and Italy and on the international scene, in the 80's, with remarkable reassurance that he did this, without any access to watch the matches, I'm surprised you'd have a dig at anyone who follows football outside of the back pages of the Sun and Sky Sports Soccer Saturday.

Re: The case for Moyes to be the next WHUFC manager
He fits the owners bill of being British, having premiership experience and keeping clubs up on limited budget. The football though is largely uninspiring. A lot of hoof ball and similar tactics a lot of the time to BFS. I found Everton pretty boring to watch under Moyes.

He'd do for mid table and the odd higher placed season but I don't think he would be liked by fans or lead a new wave of excitement and optimism.
